Multi Kruzer. In the twelfth and thirteenth centuries came the double dinār, a coin aesthetically close to perfection commanded by the Almohad dynasty. The excellence of this coin motivated its rapid imitation by the peninsular Christian kings.
For nearly eight hundred years, the dynār, considered an instrument of propaganda, became an important prestige pattern coined by caliphs who sought to reinforce their political aspirations.
