Rush To The Rockies 2025
What do you get when you mix a ton of metal detecting enthusiasts, blazing heat, an altitude of 6400 ft, the beautiful Colorado landscape, and more silver, gifts, and prizes than you can shake a pinpointer at? Another great metal detecting event from the Eureka Treasure Hunters Club out of Denver Colorado, Rush to the Rockies – Rendezvous 2025.
Having been around and active since 1973, this is the 25th Rush to the Rockies event Eureka Treasure Hunters Club has organized and its army of volunteers did a spectacular job making this year a great success.
Friday, May 30th had the check in table open so attendees could come find the location, pick up their welcome packet in the drawstring bags generously donated by our main sponsor, Nokta Detectors, and meet other attendees and folks from Eureka. There was even a beginner’s practice field where those just getting started could test out their machines and get tips on participating in a ‘seeded’ hunt. Relics Radio, a metal detecting podcast, was there broadcasting live to capture the excitement.
Saturday featured three hunts and Sunday featured two hunts plus a free kids hunt. Each hunt contained tons of silver, other themed type coins, and tokens for some incredible prizes including some custom cast .925 and .999 silver three ring bullets and arrowheads made by one of our club members. These were very cherished and sought after. We had an excellent speaker that joined us on Saturday to talk to us about the history of the Bijou Basin in Elbert County and the importance it had in Colorado’s development.
A food truck was on site for breakfast and lunch, the views were breathtaking, the water and shade were plentiful, and the camaraderie was evident everywhere you looked. People came in from all over the country, some from many States away. Some were just starting out and others were seasoned veterans, but all were welcome. Where else, besides these types of events, can you come together with these many like-minded individuals to celebrate and enjoy our hobby?
This year, with all the entry fees paid by participants going directly into the ground, and the very generous donations from our sponsors, we had over $38,000 to be found and won by our attendees. A big shout out to Nokta and our other sponsors for always supporting our community with your generosity.
Here are some of the comments from social media posts noticed after the event…”Best hunt I’ve ever been to”, “The hospitality was second to none, the prizes were plentiful, and the amount of coins they put out there was mind boggling”, “There were way too many prizes to list, the fields were packed with coins, and the location was top notch”, “One of the best weekends I’ve had in a while”, “Rush to the Rockies was Epic”, “Rush to the Rockies was awesome, 5 stars all the way. So many targets in the ground and prizes and raffles were amazing”, “best part of this event was meeting up with some truly amazing people”.
Here are just a few pictures of the event. We hope you can join us at a future Rush to the Rockies event here in Colorado.
