52nd Indian Territory Treasure Hunt
The 52nd Indian Territory Treasure Hunt was another exciting and successful event!
Held over Memorial Day weekend, the weather couldn’t have been better—both days
brought beautiful late-May sunshine with high temperatures around 80°F, perfect for
treasure hunting in Oklahoma.
This year’s hunt drew 117 total entries, including
103 adult participants and 13 kids. Treasure hunters
traveled from eight different states—Alabama, Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri,
Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Texas—adding to the fun and camaraderie of the event.
Across all hunts combined, there was an estimated $24,000+ in coins and prizes
up for grabs, making this one of the most rewarding hunts in the country.
Since its inception in 1972, the Indian Territory Treasure Hunt has become a
cherished tradition. We owe a huge thank you to all the ITTHC members,
volunteers, and supporters—both club members and non-members—who help make this event
run smoothly year after year. Your hard work and dedication keep this hunt thriving.
We’d also like to express our sincere appreciation to the metal detector
manufacturers, distributors, and dealers who contributed so generously to
this year’s prize pool. Special thanks to:
- Nokta Detectors
- Fisher
- Garrett
- Minelab
Your outstanding support, not just this year but over many years, has
played a major role in making the Indian Territory Treasure Hunt one of the best—
if not the best—metal detecting events in the nation.
THANK YOU to everyone who participated and contributed. We look forward to seeing you at the 53rd hunt!
