What happens when you take the Nokta Anfibio to a site that others say is “hunted out”? One of my favourite finds on such trips is Deep Silver. You bring home a pocketful of history, and Deep Silver is often the highlight. Moreover, many enthusiasts seek Deep Silver at these challenging locations.
This latest session was a masterclass in target separation and depth. The star of the show was undoubtedly the 1888 silver and the 1911 Barber Quarter, both of which gave off that unmistakable, rock-solid high tone the Anfibio is famous for. Even at significant depths, the VDI remained stable, allowing for a confident dig. In fact, Deep Silver was present alongside other relics, making the hunt memorable.
The Haul Included:
- The Silver Jackpot: An 1888 silver coin, a 1911 Barber Quarter, and a beautiful silver dime.
- Relics from the Past: A heavy, solid iron ball (likely a cannonball or large grape shot) that the Anfibio sniffed out despite its size and potential for masking.
- Jewelry: A stunning sterling silver ring featuring an intricate scrollwork design.
- Classic Copper: A collection of Indian Head Pennies and Wheat Cents that were hiding among the iron trash.
The Verdict: Whether you are hunting for tiny silver dimes or heavy battlefield relics, the Anfibio’s multi-frequency capabilities and lightning-fast recovery speed make it an absolute beast in the field. Furthermore, finding Deep Silver with the Nokta Anfibio demonstrates just how effective this detector can be.
