Social responsibility, environmental awareness and Nokta Engineering
in the district of Tuzla,an area called Aydinli, and on the outskirts
of Gebze,a place called called Sekerpinar, hundreds of industrial barrels filled
with toxic chemicals were found on March 20th,2006 and July 3rd,2006.Upon being
informed of the toxic chemicals buried underground, we immediately contacted the
Istanbul Mayor’s Office and the concerned personnel at Izaydas in case there
were more barrels hidden.We urgently informed first the Deputy Chairman,Ahmet
AYDIN and then the Chairman of Izaydas,Bilal SENGÃœN that our expertise in detecting the metals underground and the holes
in the earth would provide great
assistance with quick assessment of the nature of the material and the process
by which the waste materials can best be extracted.
We informed them that we could head for the area with
our highly-skilled professional experts and make all the necessary analyses
using the most advanced dedector at our disposal without any financial
compensation. The officers at Izaydas who found our sincere assistance and
support positive invited our team to the location to make a comprehensive
detection. Following the invitation,our expert team of professional operators
together with our Chairman Mehmet ÖNLEK went immediately to the location to find
out if there might be toxic wastes in the industrial barrels or hidden
underground in 8 different locations in the initial analyses. As a result of
our detections in those spots,the finding of new barrels made it possible to
clear the area off all toxic chemicals.

As far as the toxic barrels found in the district of Tuzla
in an area called Orhanli are concerned, we were actively involved in the
detection project conducted by Izaydas to spot the toxic barrels hidden
underground and helped unearth a great number of toxic barrels.
On July 3rd,2006 we received a support call from the
authorities at izaydas stating that there were toxic barrels on the outskirts of
Gebze called Sekerpinar and instantly sent our team to the location for further
detection. Our detection work proved more arduous than we had thought, for the
location had been used as a dump.Although we received signals for metal in the
whole area, we started in the places where there were the strongest signals. in light of our ground experience, we came to conclusion that the signals were not
toxic barrels, but went on digging some spots as a precautionary measure.in the
spots we detected,some metals almost as big as a barrel were unearthed.in the
location no toxic barrel was detected.We notified the senior officials at
izaydas that it was unfounded information and saved them time and money.
